The John August Swanson serigraph "The Procession" is for sale from Eyekons Gallery. His 1982 painting of "The Procession" is the inspiration for the serigraph. "The Procession" is in the Vaticans Collection of Modern Religious Art. John Swanson reflects, "We are invited to join in the procession to help each other see in ways we have never seen before, to see what we have forgotten. The great procession is a celebration of life and faith where the rich and poor march in unison; the strong carry the weak, and the weak humble the proud and a child lifts high the banner for all to follow in joy, in peace, in love." Eyekons is a source for Christian art, religious art, biblical art and church art.

    The Procession

John August Swanson's 1982 painting of The Procession is in the Vatican Museum's Collection of Modern Religious Art. He considers it the grand work of his life. In 2007 he decided to create a serigraph of the image. John reflects on his inspiration for The Procession, "We, in our communities of faith, are a procession of stories, stories both unique and shared, stories connected to those who have gone before us and those who will come after us. We gather in celebration of and respect for each person's story and in expectation and awe of the story we are becoming together. This is the reality I seek to touch upon in this work."
